TRESOLID has been able to support Saarpfalz-Werkstatt für angepasste Arbeit (SWA – Saarpfalz workshop for adapted working) in entering a business field completely new to SWA. Entire business premises had to be equipped completely for the production of component requiring clean room conditions. In doing so, TRESOLID with its know-how and design-oriented solutions has been able to develop and implement a concept for SWA that is adapted to the needs to people with disabilities. SWA in Blieskastel, Germany, employs 240 people with disabilities. Manufacturing products in hygienic ISO 8/7 clean room conditions has been
added as a new business field. Besides the important training of the staff, male and female, involved, a 400m² production environment needed to be designed and built, with 36 work stations as well as air lock for staff and material. In this, TRESOLID could build on its strengths as a specialist for tailored solutions. Starting with the consultation and measuring on location, next came in-house 3D planning and coordination as well as production at TRESOLID's own site, and installation by TRESOLID’s own, trained specialist staff.
TRESOLID’s philosophy of functional, straightforward design proved the perfect basis when it came to visualising processes simply and clearly. For example, this is how special graphic symbols for the signage of air lock furniture was used, which made it easier for people with disabilities to find their way around the site.
